Republican Presidential candidates Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Bobby Jindal will each get an hour in a series of long-form discussions on Tribune’s NBC affil WHO Des Moines, Iowa, focusing on topics important to Iowans — education, health and jobs.
Each candidate will focus their discussion on just one of the topics.
The station has dubbed the series, The Iowa Forums, and they’re airing over three consecutive days on WHO’s Channel 13 News at 4.
The first forum with Dr. Ben Carson aired yesterday. The other forums will air today and tomorrow.
“The whole idea is really pretty simple: one candidate, one hour, one subject,” says David Price, WHO’s political director. “Our goal is to have a meaningful dialog on some key issues and have no ‘gotcha’ moments.”
WHO is partnering with Des Moines Area Community College to present the forums in front of live audiences.
