For more than 200 years, the Home for Little Wanderers has been ensuring the healthy behavioral, emotional, and educational well-being of children and families living in at-risk circumstances in the Boston area.
Serving children from birth to age 22, the Home for Little Wanderers makes a positive impact on more than 7,000 lives each year through innovative programs and services that provide therapeutic residential and special education, adoption and foster care.
WCVB, the Hearst ABC affiliate in Boston, has partnered with the Home for 20 years to provide support for The Home for Little Wanderers Big Wishes Toy Drive.
This year, WCVB’s promos featured Chronicle reporter Shayna Seymour (Chronicle is WCVB’s locally produced evening newsmagazine) and Buddy the Elf from Elf the Musical (the Broadway show that came to Boston earlier this month.)
The drive helps to collect toys and other gifts for thousands of children and families’ in the Home’s care.
