The recent historic rainfall in the Monroe, La., area has left homes and properties devastated. More than two feet of rain fell in as little as 48 hours last week in the area.
Thousands of residents are displaced and everyday life has ground to a halt in many communities.
Gray’s CBS affiliate KNOE is partnering with the Amercican Red Cross to conduct an 8-hour telethon.
Starting at 2 this afternoon and going until 10 tonight, KNOE will ask viewers to make secure donations to help the Red Cross, All of the money stays in the area served by KNOE.
Live reports will air on KNOE all during the telethon and are available to stream on www.knoe.com and on KNOE’s other social media platforms.
