It’s tough to be the life of the party for 20 hours straight. Imagine having to be “on” for that long? Live, on-camera, on the web, streaming for 20 consecutive hours.
But that’s what the morning news co-anchors of Good Day Philadelphia did last Friday from the studios of WTXF, the Fox O&O, to celebrate 20 years on the air in the City of Brotherly Love.
Mike Jerrick and Alex Holly took to the internet at 1 o’clock last Friday afternoon, April Fool’s Day, and went straight through until 9 in the morning on Saturday.
They camped out in the station’s first-floor studios and encouraged viewers to come down to the station in the Old City section to help them celebrate.
A crowd gathered outside and lots of surprise guests stopped by to join in the fun.
WTXF’s Good Day Philadelphia will continue to celebrate its 20th anniversary all through the month of April with special features like Good Day outtakes, music videos and best celebrity moments.
