WBDT, the Dayton, Ohio, CW affiliate, will broadcast 25 games of the Dayton Dragons, the Class A minor league team of the Cincinnati Reds.
WBDT is owned by Vaughan Media and operated by Media General.
Baseball Night in Dayton begins with the Dragons home opener on Saturday, April 9.
The broadcasts will be in high definition, using seven camera positions, slow-motion replays, player interview clips and an award-winning information graphics package.
“We know the love this region has for the Dragons and we’re thrilled fans will be able to watch them on Dayton’s CW,” said Joe Abouzeid, WBDT’s general manager.
The Dayton Dragons continue their sell-out streak of 1,121 consecutive games in 17 seasons.
Over the years, 17 Dragon players have gone to play in the Major Leagues including current stars like Joey Votto, Todd Frazier and Johnny Cueto.
“Dayton’s CW is a top-notch station,” said Robert Murphy, Dragons’ president. “Having an award-winning telecast on a great local station is a real win for all of the Dragons fans in the region.”
