Children stuck in the hospital for months can go almost anywhere they imagine thanks to some innovative television technology.
According to an article in Adweek, cancer-stricken kids at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital can get outdoors to roam with wild horses, play with monkeys or swim in the ocean thanks to a 360-degree camera, interactive live-streaming and a special screening room.
The campaign is from the online travel agency, Expedia.
As it points out in the article, “there are far worse ways to spend a marketing budget than making a sick kid’s day a little better — even if it is still meant to drive Expedia’s bottom line.”
