A Utah High Patrol helicopter with seven rescuers on board is sent high into the mountains to bring back the body of a hiker.
Video released to KSL, the NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City owned Bonneville International, the for-profit arm of Mormon church, shows the helicopter hovering over the recovery spot, with the blades spinning just feet away from the cliff face.
As the Salt Lake County Search and Rescue team moves toward the helicopter, something happened.
“We heard a cannon go off. It sounded like an explosion,” said rescuer Ben Robertson. “Next thing I know I hear a crack next to me and see the tail fly over our heads.”
Note: Yes, it’s spring, and we know what that means to creative services directors and their staff all over this land. It’s time for May sweeps.
The time when TV stations buy outside media and expand their on-air schedules to attract new viewers.
