When I was in high school in a small town outside Philadelphia, I used to read The New Yorker magazine in the hopes that it would make me more sophisticated and worldly.
I enjoyed reading the coming and goings of celebrities spotted at various famous bars like Toots Shor’s, Sardi’s and the 21 Club in Manhattan.
And of course, the cartoons were a hoot, although there were some at the time whose humor I didn’t quite get.

If you come across some cartoons in a similar vein, regardless of the source, please share them.
