WAVY, Media General’s NBC affiliate in Norfolk, Va., revealed its new set this week.
It features a streamlined, illuminated anchor desk and three large 3×3 monitor arrays to provide flexibility for every news application, according to the station.
WAVY greatly enhanced its weather and traffic center, anchored by a 98-inch monitor and framed by WAVY’s signature wave and water imagery.
“Our Chief Engineer Mark Johnson, News Director Mark Kurtz, Production Manager Dave Whitener and Creative Services Director Kristen Joyal Pinto and their teams collaborated beautifully with our design partners at Z Space Creative,” said Doug Davis, WAVY’s general manager.
“I could not be prouder of the teamwork among our entire WAVY team to bring this new era of news presentation to fruition for the benefit of our viewers.”
