Media General’s NBC-CW Dayton, Ohio, duopoly of WDTN-WBDT, for th 33rd year, is collecting coats and other winter accessories to give to less fortunate kids and adults in the area.
Since its inception, Coats for Kids has collected and distributed more than 492,000 coats and accessories. The campaign is scheduled to run Sept. 1-Oct. 7.
Residents can take any new or washable coat to any sponsor location and place them in the Coats for Kids collection barrel.
“We’ve collected thousands of coats over the years, but it seems the need is even greater this year,” said Joe Abouzeid, WDTN president.
Corporate sponsors for the campaign include LCNB National Bank and St. Vincent de Paul. In-kind partners include Cintas Corp. and RUSH Transportation and Logistics.
