The death of Freddie Gray in a police van in April, 2015, led to charges being filed against six Baltimore police officers.
Baltimore City Police Sergeant Alicia White is the first to break the silence of the officers charged by sitting down for an interview with WMAR reporter, Brian Kuebler. WMAR is the ABC affiliate in Baltimore owned by Scripps.
What was her reaction to being charged with Freddie Gray’s death?
What’s her life like now after all charges have been dropped?
“We have reported extensively on all sides of this case from the very beginning,” said Bill Hooper, WMAR’s general manager, “and we will take full advantage of the opportunity to speak directly with Sgt. White to get the full scope of this story.”
The series of interviews were conducted by Brian Kuebler and Justin Fenton, of The Baltimore Sun, at WMAR’s studios.
This story ran on Thursday night’s 11 o’clock newscast.
