Viewers watching KRON on New Year’s Eve missed Miriah Carey’s lip-synch snafu and Don Lemon downing shots on CNN, but they did get to see real live fireworks without the drama.
KRON, the MyNetworkTV affiliate in San Francisco owned by Media General, scored a 10 Household ratings at midnight on New Year’s Eve with fireworks from San Francisco and other locations around the world.
“Viewers want to see celebrations,” said Jim Swanson, KRON’s local programming director.
“And KRON4 features some of the best parties from around the world that culminates with our amazing fireworks along the San Francisco Embarcadero at midnight.”
