On Tuesday, Feb. 7, the San Francisco Bay Area got more rain than it received in all of 2016, according to Steve Poitras, creative services director at KRON, Nexstar’s MNT affiliate there.
“It’s gratifying to know that Bay Area viewers are choosing us more than in years past.”
The rain on Tuesday was in addition to extremely heavy precipitation in January.
Mt. Hamilton in San Jose recorded 14 inches, the wettest January in 120 years of record keeping, and Santa Cruz County saw a record start to the year with 32 inches in January.
