Michael Bornstein was filmed by Soviet soldiers as he was carried out of Auschwitz in his grandmother’s arms.
Yet after spotting pictures of himself on book covers, museum walls and in annual TV news footage noting Holocaust Remembrance Day, Bornstein was reluctant to step forward to identity himself.
Now after seeing a document discovered at a museum in Israel that revealed a stunning detail about his survival, he’s sharing his experiences after 70 years of silence.
Bornstein steps into the national spotlight to tell his story on Matter of Fact, this Sunday morning at 11 on WBAL, Hearst’s ABC affiliate in Baltimore.
Matter of Fact is produced by Hearst and is airing on 119 TV stations around the country. To see stations and show times, click here.
