Ah, that feeling when it’s the last day of school and then you’re off for the summer.
Three months to sleep in, do whatever you want all day, no school work to think about.
You can go somewhere on vacation, and just be free from thinking about school at all.
And if that’s what the teachers are thinking, imagine how the students feel!
And who says it better than Alice Cooper.
Back in September, I shared some clever, creative back-to-school promos and one of them was from WXYZ, the Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in Detroit.
Phil Wrobel, WXYZ’s creative services director, said at the time that he wanted to create a spot that was original, memorable, and that would leave viewers feeling good about WXYZ’s morning news team.
I agreed that he did all three and I thought the young lady cast as the teacher was adorable.
By the way, in a note yesterday morning, Wrobel said, “I should also point out that Saturday night, WXYZ’s Back-To-School promo won an Emmy at the NATAS Michigan Chapter for Best News Promo- Single Spot. Very cool!”
Well, he’s brought her back in this school’s out for summer promo.
“We produced this fun promo that reminds our viewers that we’re there to help them plan and prepare every morning for the best summer possible,” said Wrobel.
“We are really proud of how it came out and hope our viewers will enjoy it.”
I think all students and teachers off for the summer will enjoy this spot.
