Wisconsin Broadcasters Honor Best Local TV Promos In The State

Check out the first-place winners in the large-, medium- and small-market categories in news image and weather promotion.

The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association held its 2022 awards gala last week and there were 1,404 entries from 120 stations. Entries were judged by professional broadcasters outside Wisconsin.

Here are some of the first-place promo winners in the large, medium and small markets categories:

LARGE MARKET

Best Image Promotion

WTMJ Milwaukee: That’s TMJ4

Best Weather Promotion

WISN Milwaukee: Baden & Slater – Famous Milwaukee Combos

MEDIUM MARKET

Best Image Promotion

WKOW Madison: Amber Noggle – Career

SMALL MARKET

There are also many news examples in various categories as well, including Station of the Year, News Operation of the Year and Social and Digital Media Operation of the Year.

“The WBA Awards for Excellence highlight the best that Wisconsin’s radio and TV stations have to offer, including their tremendous service to their communities,” says Michelle Vetterkind, WBA’s  president. “They most definitely have a lot to be proud of.”
