KMBC, Hearst’s ABC affiliate in Kansas City along with KCWE, Hearst’s CW, were honored as Missouri’s best television stations on Saturday—jointly receiving the prestigious Station of the Year award from the Missouri Broadcasters Association. KCWE also took top honors for promotion—winning an award for its marketing of Young Sheldon.
KMBC and KCWE, Hearst’s ABC and CW affiliates, respectively, in Kansas City, were honored as Missouri’s best television stations — jointly receiving the prestigious Station of the Year award from the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
According to the MBA’s website, the Station of the Year award is presented to the Missouri station showcasing excellence in audio and video, meaningful community involvement, and industry leadership.
KCWE also took top honors for promotion, winning an award for its marketing of Young Sheldon, which airs on the station at 5 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday through Friday.

“KCWE is focused on serving the Kansas City community by delivering quality entertainment, plus news and information programming,” says Gregg Cox, KCWE’s promotion manager. “We are honored to be recognized by the MBA for station promotion excellence.”
