Sara Ahmad-Visomirski is the new vice president of creative services and community relations for NBCUniversal’s WTVJ and WSCV (Telemundo) Fort Lauderdale.
Ahmad-Visomirski returns to South Florida after launching her career in marketing for TV and broadcasting more than three decades ago as an intern for WPLG Miami.
She will report to Jorge Carballo, WTVJ and WSCV’s general manager.

Ahmad-Visomirski brings her experience in creative services and marketing to WSCV and WTVJ after working at Paramount’s stations in Philadelphia, KYW and WPSG, for 13 years as VP and director of creative services.
At CBS3 and The CW Philly, she helped develop content and brand strategies for news and severe weather, investigations, community efforts, and created campaigns that spotlighted and celebrated the neighborhoods and people that made the DMA unique.
Ahmad-Visomirski also charted the stations’ grant program aimed at helping local, women-and-minority-owned small businesses in the market get funding and advertising support.
The program was named a national 2022 Service to America Awards finalist by The NAB Leadership Foundation.
Before this, Ahmad-Visomirski has held positions in creative services, sales marketing, programming and traffic at TV stations all around the country.
She has served as director of creative services for Kansas City’s KCTV and KSMO and West Palm Beach’s WPBF.
In addition, she worked as assistant creative services director for WTAE Pittsburgh, and held sales marketing roles at WTVX and WTCN in West Palm Beach, and worked as on-air promotion writer/producer for KDFW Dallas -ort Worth. She launched her career at WPLG Miami.
Ahmad-Visomirski is the recipient of Mid-America and Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards for Morning News and Overall Image Promo producing work at KCTV and KYW.
She has also received a CW Apex Model Affiliate Award for her work at The CW Philly, recognizing the station’s outstanding on-air and off-air marketing, branding and community outreach.
A Miami native, she earned a Bachelor in Science degree in broadcasting and English from the University of Miami. She will be relocating to Miami with her family.
