New TV jobs posted to TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center include openings for an Executive Producer, a digital sales coordinator and a graphics design manager for stations owned by Hearst, Gray and Nexstar.
TV stations owned by Weigel, Nexstar, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna, Hearst, and Sunbeam in markets all over the country are responding to help those in need in their communities with food, toys, clothing, rent assistance and even restaurants hit by the pandemic.
“There’s a story here about the importance of what we do, and the resiliency of the people that do it,” wrote Mark Klein, creative services director at KALB in Alexandria, Louisiana. “What’s been accomplished to broadcast life-saving information in Lake Charles and the other surrounding areas that were devastated by Laura is a testament to the strength of the individual stations, and how they’ve worked together under Gray to succeed against all obstacles.”
WMC, Gray’s NBC affiliate in Memphis, organized a fundraising event to supply each student in the largest school district in Tennessee with microphone equipped headsets to aid with virtual learning. “This goes to show just how critical local broadcasters can be to a community and our continued relevance in an increasing connected world,” said Jonathan Mitchell, WMC’s general manager.
New jobs posted to TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center include openings in Richmond and Memphis for a senior sales account exec and a technical media producer, which combines the roles of a traditional newscast director and master control operator.
Just posted last week to TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center are directors of TV sales openings by Gray, Meredith, Nexstar and News Press & Gazette for stations in Memphis, Hampton Roads, Colorado Springs and Greenville, S.C.
