KMGH, branded as Denver7, the Scripps ABC affiliate, launched a campaign through its Denver7 Gives nonprofit to raise funds for victims of the Boulder wildfires the night the fires broke out, according to the station.
Station officials knew there was going to be tremendous need, and that’s why they had their nonprofit in place.
So far, KMGH has raised more than $400,000 to help families with housing, clothing, household items for rental places, etc.
Every cent of what has been collected will go directly to help with victims of the fires.
“It’s important to us that every penny of every donation directly benefits victims of the fire in our community,” says Holly Gauntt, KMGH’s news director. “We have been finding people in need and helping them immediately.”
KCCI has an opening for an experienced Technical Director for its station’s live, fast-paced newscasts. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a TD and extensive knowledge of broadcast operations and production activities. The Technical Director will work together with directors and producers in planning newscasts and overseeing the crew on Newscast pre-production activities.
