Put your thinking caps on!

Or as WRAL puts it, get your crania in gear for Brain Game, the smartest 30 minutes on television.

WRAL, Capitol Broadcasting’s NBC affiliate in Raleigh, N.C., kicked off its high school quiz program for 2022 with a new partner and location, Wake Tech Community College. The 24 episodes of Brain Game will be produced from the Wake Tech’s Scott Northern Wake Campus for the next five years.

The new location offers a spacious setting for the teams to gather prior to each game. The competitors then head into a lecture hall that can accommodate over 100 family members, friends and classmates in the audience to cheer on the teams during the contests.

“We are thrilled to bring the excitement and competition of Brain Game to this new collegiate studio site,” says Heather Gray, WRAL station manager. “This partnership and new production location will ensure that we can continue the great tradition of Brain Game for many years to come.”

Each Brain Game features two teams competing head-to-head through nine categories of trivia, with the winner advancing to the next round.

The questions can be hard for rocket scientists, Rhodes scholars and Mensa members, let alone high school students.

Metals in group 3-10 on the periodic table take what uncertain name?
