October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to the National Cancer Institute, almost 298,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 43,000 will die of the disease in 2023.
To honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, WGN, Nexstar’s Chicago independent, is airing a new half hour special, Stories of Hope: Facing Breast Cancer on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. CT. The half-hour broadcast will also be livestreamed on the WGN9+ app on Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV, and online at WGNTV.com/Live and the WGN News mobile app.
