Pam Moore, who retired from KRON’s anchor desk in June, was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the San Francisco Press Club at its 46th awards gala on Dec. 13.
Moore started anchoring the news on KRON, Nexstar’s San Francisco CW affiliate, in March 1991.
She remains with KRON as a special contributor, where she continues to tell stories important to Bay Area viewers.
The San Francisco Press Club was founded in 1963 as an interchange of ideas and opinions of media professionals has been celebrating excellence in Bay Area Journalism for decades.
“The Lifetime Achievement recognition from the San Francisco Press Club means a great deal to me,” Moore says. “After working in several news markets, I found my home in the Bay Area and am proud to have worked among so many top-notch professionals who care about the people in this community and our responsibility to inform. To be honored by these amazing professionals will always be among the highlights of my career and I feel so much appreciation.”

Moore’s long career and journalistic work continues to be honored with many awards, including a Peabody Award for the five-part series “About Race,” and several Emmys for in-depth reporting on Bay Area issues. She has been inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Silver Circle and honored for her career achievements by the Society of Professional Journalism, Northern California.
