From advanced camera systems to state-of-the-art LED lighting and updated graphics suite, viewers can expect a dynamic and engaging local news experience and new innovations to improve its capabilities. This redesign allows for versatile storytelling and a visually captivating experience, reinforcing KAKE’s dedication to leading broadcast journalism in our state.
Due to the year-round severe weather that Kansans experience, KAKE’s new massive weather center was designed to give multiple meteorologists the ability to work simultaneously in assessing weather conditions and forecasts throughout the different regions of the vast Wichita-Hutchinson market.
“This new studio is a visual representation of KAKE’s ongoing commitment to quality local journalism, and to the people of Kansas,” says Mike Rajewski, KAKE’s GM. “KAKE’s dedicated employees are second-to-none and deserve the best possible equipment and setting where they are able to perform their jobs to the best of their ability. This set was over two years in the making, and I am proud of the tremendous effort put forth by this team to make it possible.”
