Jesse Pagan, an award-winning journalist with Central Florida roots, joins WESH, Hearst’s NBC affiliate, as an anchor/reporter.
Pagan comes to WESH from KFMB-TV in San Diego where he was an evening anchor/reporter. While there, he conceptualized and created a weekly franchise, “Mi Gente,” which focuses on Latino communities and non-profit organizations throughout the San Diego area.

Pagan, who has earned two prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards for Breaking News, has also worked at WSYX/WTTE-TV in Columbus, Ohio, WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, Florida, WCJB-TV in Gainesville, Florida and interned at ABC World News Tonight with David Muir in New York, N.Y.
Born in Puerto Rico, Pagan moved to Volusia County when he was 8 years old and still has family in Central Florida.

Pagan will anchor WESH 2 News at 4:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on sister station WKCF, CW18.
Pagan is a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications.
