To the many more who weren’t there – writer/producers in creative services and marketing producers, news directors and general managers – you can watch the promos in a variety of categories to see what other stations are doing to recruit viewers. Feel free to customize these ideas and use them at your own station.
It is extremely rare for any local TV station to have any kind of budget to produce news promos. So, nearly everything stations produce in-house to promote themselves is done with imagination, and little more. In this session, it is the only currency allowed in spots submitted from stations across the country.
These are clever, even genius ideas and concepts well-executed.
