Community grants in the greater Indianapolis region are aimed at alleviating community concerns including health and education support, food insecurity and programs for at-risk youth.
WTHR, Tegna’s NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, and the Tegna Foundation, has awarded 10 local nonprofit organization community grants totaling $55,ooo.
The Tegna Foundation Community Grants program addresses the diverse local community needs in communities served by Tegna.
Community grants in the greater Indianapolis region are aimed at alleviating community concerns including health and education support, food insecurity and programs for at-risk youth.
Among the grant recipients are:
Riley Children’s Foundation: The grant will support Riley Hospital for Children, providing care for economically disadvantaged children and youth.
Cancer Support Community of Indiana: The grant will support the Patient Assistance Fund, providing critical needs to underserved community members facing a cancer diagnosis.

Additional community grant recipients include St. Mary’s Early Childhood Center, accessABILITY Center for Independent Living, Lupus Foundation of America, Indiana Chapter, Wayne Township Education Foundation and Irvington Counseling Collective Inc.
