I have to hand it to the folks at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.
They really know how to put together a website to display all the winners with links to the winning examples.
Competition for this year’s awards was as strong as ever with 1,784 entries, a new record for the contest. Entries were judged by professional broadcasters outside Wisconsin.
Radio and television stations from across the state were honored Saturday night at their annual gala.
The theme of this year’s celebration was the Kentucky Derby. I was looking at some of the pictures before I read about the theme and wondered why some of the men were in fancy hats.
“The friendly competition at the awards gala is a great way to celebrate the best in Wisconsin broadcasting,” said Michelle Vetterkind, WBA’s president.
“When broadcasters are doing their best work, we all win.”
