After 10 days of tracking what was one of the biggest hurricanes on record, central Florida residents breathed a sigh of relief as the area was spared the devastating impact of Dorian.
But when Dorian was seemingly headed directly for the state, all four of Orlando’s news stations went into wall-to-wall coverage.
Over two days of coverage on Sept. 2 and 3, WFTV, Cox’s ABC affiliate, had 41% of the adults 25-54 audience in all newscasts combined.
WFTV also set new records with its digital coverage of Hurricane Dorian. Tens of thousands of digital users downloaded the WFTV News App and WFTV Weather App.Plus, from Aug. 30 through Sept. 3.
