“I’m extremely proud of the work our news team does every day covering Mid-Missouri. It is
gratifying to be recognized by our peers but more importantly knowing our newscasts make a
positive impact on people’s lives in Mid-Missouri,” said Curtis Hancock, KMIZ’s news director.

“The volume of awards this year speaks to the commitment of our owners,” said Curtis Varns, general manager at The Networks of Mid-Missouri.
“The nearly 40 hours of news we produce each week along with our constant presence online and on mobile speaks to the investment our family-owned company has made in Mid-Missouri. I’m proud to bring the audience a worthwhile product that fills some of their fundamental needs for news and weather information.”
