“Without team work none of this could ever happen, everything we do we do together, everything we win – we win as one,” says Rick Boone, KTVE’s news director.
KTVE, the NBC affiliate in Monroe, La., owned by Mission Broadcasting, but operated by Nexstar under a shared services local marketing agreement, was recognized by Louisiana Association of Broadcasters for Best Newscast and Best Weathercast in the small market category.

Randy Stone, KTVE’s GM, was also given the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 35-plus years in the television industry.
“I share this with every Nexstar employee, and my bosses who give me the pleasure to serve the best media group in the country,” Stone says.
The honors were announced at the LAB annual Prestige Awards ceremony in Baton Rouge in March.

Rick Boone, KTVE’s news director, gave the Best Newscast award to the entire news department, including production and digital.
“Without team work none of this could ever happen, everything we do we do together, everything we win — we win as one,” says Boone.
