WJHL, Nexstar’s dual CBS-ABC affiliate in Johnson City, Tennessee (DMA: 99), launched a set and studio last month. WJHL serves the Tri-Cities of Kingsport, Johnson City and Bristol in northeastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia.
“Our news team is thrilled to be broadcasting from this beautiful state of the art studio,” said Kenny Lawrence, WJHL’s general manager. “Our new studio gives us the ability to better deliver important and interesting stories to our viewers in the Tri-Cities.”
The set displays 41 built-in LED monitors and has the largest video wall in the market.
Lawrence said he’s received calls from viewers thanking the station for the larger, easier to read graphics.
