KSWO, Gray’s ABC affiliate in Lawton, Okla., is airing a promo for Matt Dipirro, the station’s chief meteorologist, that features the local fire chief extolling the virtues of Dipirro being a volunteer fireman.
Todd Young, KSWO’s promotion manager, and Morgan Thompson, the station’s marketing producer, produced the spot, according to Rob Thomas, KSWO’s marketing director, who alerted me to the spot.
When Thomas told me about it, my first thought was: If only Dipirro could make it rain to put out the fires.
