It was just two months ago that we were all watching Hurricane Harvey dump 40 to 50 inches of rain on Houston, causing historic flooding.
These days, we’re all watching the Houston Astros play to win the World Series.
But families and businesses in Houston, including KHOU, the Tegna-owned CBS affiliate, are still in temporary quarters, scrambling to find permanent homes.
Ever since Harvey, KHOU has been lifting the spirits of its residents by celebrating the community, including the Astros bid to win the World Series.
“Our Houston Astros have brought this city to life and given us something to celebrate — just when we needed it most,” said Nicki Belcher, KHOU’s promotions producer.
“Our creative team wanted to do something fun and edgy, something Astros fans could really get behind. These have been so fun to produce and we are so happy that they have been well received.”
Robert commented, “Whoever your social media rep is, keep them. They’re doing great during this world series!”
