WDRB, Block Communications’ Fox affiliate in Louisville, Ky., is airing and streaming 30-second updates on the coronavirus crisis every hour across all four of its channels in non-news programming (Fox, CW,MNT, AntennaTV) and on its social media platforms.
Created by the station’s marketing department, WDRB Informed Updates are hosted by the station’s anchor team, and revised throughout the day.
“This helps extend our reach for our news coverage far beyond the 9.5 hours of news each day on WDRB,” said Scott Brady, WDRB’s VP of creative services.

WTTG, the Fox-owned affiliate in Washington, D.C. needs a seasoned news producer. The news producer is responsible for daily production of newscast (compile and write stories, log video, wire copy) within specific time constraints to meet news deadlines. Must be familiar with and able to log and edit video for inclusion on scripts. Responsible for production of stories – everything from setting up the story, to interviews, to writing and editing features, and coordinating graphics. Research stories via telephone with city PIO (Public Information Officers), public relations organizations, etc.
