WCVB Boston Promo Reinforces Trust In Local News

Through on-air broadcasts, Facebook updates, and website stories, local TV news operations are providing a reliable source about all the constant changes that seem to happen every minute. Let me know what your station is doing during this crisis. I’ll post updates as I get them.

I can’t think of a time when local TV news has been as important a source of information is it now during this coronavirus pandemic.

While the pandemic is worldwide, the effects to limit it are coming down right in our neighborhoods.

And the changes are happening so fast, it’s hard to keep up with all the information.

Local TV news marketers are airing promos that reassure viewers that local TV news is a trusted source of information in all the chaos.

Through on-air broadcasts, Facebook updates and website stories, local TV news operations are providing a reliable source about all the constant changes that seem to happen every minute.

Here’s a promo from WCVB, Hearst’s ABC affiliate in Boston that reminds viewers that it provides first-hand, verified information.

“Here is a promo that reinforces the importance of getting information from a trusted news source in these uncertain times,” wrote a WCVB station rep in an email, “and reminds viewers that WCVB is there to help them as Boston’s most trusted, experienced, and reliable station.”

Let me know what your station is doing during this crisis. I’ll post updates as I get them.
