From Milwaukee to Denver, Little Rock to Sacramento, check out these TV promos covering news image, apps, morning news, weather and a new lifestyle show.
The dog days of August are almost over. Another summer is ending. In some places, kids are already back in school.
So some TV stations, and one major network, have released some promos on YouTube over the past six weeks we can watch and share.
From Milwaukee to Denver, Little Rock to Sacramento, check out these TV promos covering news image, apps, morning news, weather and a new lifestyle show.
WTMJ, the Scripps-owned NBC affiliate in Milwaukee, has this positive news image promo that says it’s the station whose journalism always puts people first.
‘We are community that never gives up. A city of strength. We are resilient. We are Milwaukee. TODAY’S TMJ4’
From KMAX, love those call letters, the CBS-owned CW affiliate in Sacramento, comes this eye-catching, one-of-a-kind morning news promo that combines real action with computer generated animation.
The pop group, Back 2 School Street, want to get you back to school ready by watching Good Day on KMAX Sacramento, Calif., CW31. I suspect there is no group, Back 2 School Street, and that these are station employees with a cool groove. If so, well done, baby.
Cox Fox affiliate KOKI Tulsa, Okla., says it has more live reports on big stories, and more local news and weather than any other Tulsa station in this promo. I suspect that might be because its morning news goes from 4 until 9, while the other affiliates in town have to go to their respective network morning news programs. Some nice animation at the beginning of this promo though.
Here’s a weather promo from KARK and KLRT. You rarely see a station promo with two different sets of call letters. KARK is Nexstar’s NBC affiliate in Little Rock, Ark. KLRT is owned by Mission Broadcasting, but operated by Nexstar under a joint sales and shared services agreement. In this spot, the stations want you to know that when severe weather threatens, you’ll get the combined services of both stations’ meteorologists who have a combined 80 years of broadcasting experience.
KUSA, Tegna’s NBC affiliate in Denver, has a new news app. This spot is clean, using lots of white space to highlight the look of the new app.
WJAR Providence, R.I., Sinclair’s NBC affiliate, is launching a new lifestyle show. This is a pretty concept that’s well-executed to showcase the talent and give us a feel what the show will be all about.
And it’s a New Fall on Fox. Here’s a 60-second spot previewing all the action, drama and fun you can expect on Fox this fall.
